Update 4/20/15

We finally have a 5 day week!  It seems like it has been forever since we have had a full week.  I'm not sure we can survive!

Thank you to the parent volunteers and those who donated items for the classroom carnival.

Our first grade "moo-sical" will be on May 22 at 1:15.  We hope to see you there!

We will continue learning about habitats.  The kiddos are really enjoying this unit and are very engaged.  They have lots of great questions about the different habitats.  Spelling is another toughie.  Please, please, please help your child study at home. Building confidence in spelling helps students succeed in other areas of school. The spelling patterns match up with the reading levels they should be progressing to by the end of the year.

We will continue to work on money in math.  We will be working with the penny, nickel, and dime.

We have completed our notes for our animal reports.  The kiddos did an outstanding job on their jot-taking skills.  This week will begin our rough drafts and hopefully get an illustration or two done.
